DVP Fall Ball 2016
A big thank you to all the event attendees and supporters for making DVP's annual event a success. Thanks to your generous contributions we were able to raise just over $23,000.00.
At the Domestic Violence Project, our passionate team of attorneys and social workers have provided holistic legal and social work services to survivors Citywide. Serving over 1,300 victims a year, our team gives survivors the courage and confidence to feel safe in their choices.
The event was held on October 6th at The Farm Soho. Entry included an open bar, passed hors d'oeurves, music/dancing, and a silent auction.
Food sponsors included Mile End Deli, Baked By Melissa, and Brooklyn Brewery.

Here's how your donation helped:
Empower survivors and their children by providing funding for a family court attorney.
Legal assistance includes representation in family court for custody/visitation, obtaining orders of protection, child/spousal support, uncontested divorces, advocacy regarding ACS matters and immigration legal assistance.
Transform victims into survivors through supporting our clinical program.
Clinical and social work services include trauma-informed long and short term counseling, crisis counseling, safety planning, benefits advocacy, and more.
Assist survivors reach financial self-sufficiency and job readiness skills by funding the Financial Empowerment Program.
Financial Empowerment Services include individual and group financial literacy sessions, job readiness/career counseling, referrals for ESL and GED programs, legal advocacy for financial abuse and consumer law matters.
