Staff Attorney Family Law & NY City Council Clinics – Domestic Violence Project
DVP seeks a Family Law Attorney to work within a legal-psychosocial framework with survivors of intimate partner violence to provide legal representation and advocacy on custody/visitation, orders of protection, child/spousal support, and divorce. This position will focus on coordinating and leading community legal clinics at City Council member offices. As an external facing role, this role involves cultivating new relationships with legislators.
Immigration Attorney – Domestic Violence Project
The Urban Justice Center Domestic Violence Project (DVP) is seeking an experienced immigration attorney to work within a legal-psychosocial framework with survivors of domestic violence to provide legal representation and advocacy on immigration matters including U and T visas, SIJS, adjustment of status, VAWA Self-Petitions, Battered Spouse Waivers, naturalization, and removal defense. The ideal candidate will be community-oriented with a proven ability to work with teammates and clients of diverse backgrounds.
