Domestic
Violence
Project
We declare freedom from domestic violence to be a fundamental human right and as such, we are dedicated to defending and protecting all individuals
BLACK LIVES MATTER
The Domestic Violence Project demands justice for black individuals systemically targeted and victims of government sanctioned acts of inhumanity and intolerance. We stand in solidarity –yesterday, today and always. It is time to dismantle the systems that use “justice” and “order” as a means by which to control, oppress, and destroy. We will not stand for the continued systemic subjugation of Black people woven into every facet of our society. George Floyd. Breonna Taylor. Ahmaud Arbery. Sean Reed. Tony McDade. Say their names. Demand their justice. Call them out. Speak their truth. Black Lives Matter.
There can be no justice without requiring transparency from law enforcement. Join us in calling for the full transparency of an officer’s department disciplinary record by signing on to repeal of Civil Rights Law 50-a.
In response to COVID-19, the Domestic Violence Project is available remotely to assist survivors of intimate partner abuse in NYC during regular business hours. All in-person clinics are cancelled. However, attorneys are able to provide phone consultations and remote help on family and immigration law when possible. Stay up to date with our services here.
