Client Services Liaison (Full-time, Temporary) – Domestic Violence Project

DVP seeks a bilingual, Client Services Liaison to join a passionate team of attorneys and advocates helping survivors of intimate partner violence and their children gain safety and independence.

Candidates must be bilingual English/Spanish. The Client Services Liaison plays a critical role in connecting survivors with DVP’s services through grassroots community outreach and client intakes. The ideal candidate can thrive working both independently and collaboratively, is selfmotivated, and has a passion for providing high-quality and compassionate services for vulnerable populations. This is a hybrid position working full-time through June 30, 2025.

About DVP

The Domestic Violence Project (DVP)’s mission is to help survivors of intimate partner violence and their children live free of violence and abuse, marshalling the combination of legal and advocacy services necessary to secure justice and a dignified quality of life. We consider intimate partner violence – regardless of gender, sexual identity, religion, immigration, or other status – to be a human rights violation. We serve an average of 1,600 survivors annually across all five boroughs of NYC through our comprehensive direct services (legal representation in family law and immigration matters, and advocacy case management), plus an additional 1,000+ reached through community outreach, education, and clinics. The Client Services team specializes in advocacy for survivors including in matters of housing, emergency shelter, criminal justice, civil legal, and public benefits; as well as holistic supports including empowerment groups, Know Your Rights workshops, and direct assistance.

Job Responsibilities

The Client Services Liaison will report to the Director of Client Services and is responsible for the following:

Community Outreach:

  • Coordinate and execute grassroots efforts to meet prospective partners and clients in neighborhoods throughout NYC
  • Connect with community-based organizations and service providers to develop new partnership opportunities for DVP
  • Attend community events throughout NYC to provide outreach and trainings
  • Facilitate referrals between agencies

Client Intakes & Communication:

  • Conduct prospective client intakes by responding to messages left on DVP’s warmline voicemail and email inbox in a timely, professional, and trauma-informed manner
  • Maintain accurate records of communications
  • Schedule and send alerts and reminders to clients using our text message service, Signalvine
  • Provide Spanish/English translation for documents, communications, and flyers as needed

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience working with survivors or other underserved populations.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • Proficiency working with individuals of diverse backgrounds and lifestyles.
  • Ability to work with clients in a sensitive and trauma-informed manner.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, speaking, and writing skills and the ability to apply these skills in diverse situations.
  • Interest in working within a multi-disciplinary legal framework.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $53,774.08 – $57,488.85/year, commensurate with experience. This position is currently temporary through June 30, 2025.

DVP is currently operating on a hybrid schedule: Main office days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with exception of client accompaniments, outreach, etc. Hybrid schedule may change upon needs of program. DVP office hours are 9am-5pm.
